Seeing & Hearing

God Cares For Each Bird that I See Each Morning

Here are encouraging thoughts for every morning: Every time we hear a bird sing. Or see a bird fly. We should remember that we have nothing to worry about. We have nothing to fear. (Matthew 6:25-26; 10:29-31).

When I am in Florida, I love to sit on my patio, watching the sunrise. Birds fly by. Or sit in trees, singing.

Some of the birds are tiny. Others are gigantic, reminding me of pterodactyls from the Age of Dinosaurs.

I think of these words of Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount:

. . . I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

(Matthew 6:25-26).

Furthermore, Jesus assured us that our heavenly Father will care for us.

After all, not a single sparrow falls to the ground outside our Father’s care. And the very hairs of our head are numbered. Therefore, we should not  fear. We are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31).

These are encouraging thoughts for every morning.

Every time we hear a bird sing. Or see a bird fly. We should remember that we have nothing to worry about. We have nothing to fear.

Our heavenly Father will take care of us.

QUESTIONS TO THINK ABOUT

What do you worry about?

What do you fear?
